The People Have Spoken

"Democracy is the only system that persists in asking the powers that be whether they are the powers that ought to be."
Sydney J. Harris

Our election is over.  Time for all of us to come together again.

I'm happy with the results, and am glad that the election is finally over!! I just hope that both parties will abandon extreme positions, and embrace the diversity of people in this country and work together with integrity and respect and help solve the issues facing all of us.

Ellie and Lucy I wanted to thank you for your vote of confidence in me as your new Mayor.

My platform is to bring all varieties of 2 and 4 leggers together.

I'm a little tired today, but unlike other reasons for my fatigue, watching late night returns was truly worthwhile!

I've been listening to the radio all day and the consensus is that with the House largely unchanged, the GOP has no more incentive to cooperate than they did before. We'll see.

I'm so pleased with the demo/women senate wins. Wow!

I don't know that we will come together; we're going to disagree - vigorously. What I wish is that our disagreements could be honest ones based on commonly understood facts. That would be change for the good.

I agree. Come together again, perhaps for the first time in 4 years...

How wonderful to see civil and respectful comments about politics. Definitely the exception rather than the rule.

Perhaps if there were more GARDENERS in politics, then the debates would be more FRUITFUL? :)
