All Used Up

It seems that I've used my quota of free space from blogger.  And I'm disinclined to purchase more.  So I'll go dark for a while until I decide whether to upgrade or to use another service.

Meanwhile I will continue to read and enjoy your posts.  And I'll let you know when I decide what I want to do.

Our quote for the week comes from Maya Angelou:

"My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept their love in return."

And just a little reminder:  thirty-eight days remain in 2012!

HAVE A WONDERFUL AND SAFE WEEKEND, EVERYONE!!!

I know your dilemma because I used my free space a last year, and this year I've not come close to using it up, but I 'think' they're going to bill me anyway--I think I'm stuck... I hope you'll be back soon, take care, and enjoy your weekend!

PS: Great quote, but I'm in denial about the days left this year!

Oh Crap! that happened to me. I have to buy storage each year. Good luck whatever you decide.
Maybe you can start a wordpress blog and post the link here..so your followers know where to find you.

First, Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Second, the same thing happened to me! I chose to upgrade because my pictures are an important part of my blog, but now I wonder, based on the other comments, what is really behind this...seems odd so many of us would have "used our quota"

I hope you're not gone too long! I used my quota a few years back it seems...

Gosh, I had no idea they had a limit!

Good luck with the decision-making, and have a lovely weekend.

Hi there, I so understand your frustration-I got that message this week as well. I had experienced it a couple of years ago but couldn't really remember what I did. I ended up deleting some of my original posts that had graphics and weren't exciting posts. I also have Picaso 3 and today finally got some photos up though I'm not sure how long I'll be able to. Please don't go away permanently-you are much to important to us. Hugs tonight.

If you re-size your photos to no larger than 800x800, they're free and it doesn't charge against you. That's what I did when I saw my space running out and my space counter hasn't moved since.

Sorry to hear this ... hope you find a solution.

And I hope your Thanksgiving was just right!

I purchase storage each year too, but it's only $5? I was blogging every day for over 5 years and it's still only $5/year which seems fair to me. :c) Hope you'll be back my friend.

I didn't know Blogger had a limit. I'm surprised by this. I hope you can find a way to come back. Maybe a new blog that links to this one?

I also ran out of space about a year ago. I did purchase more for $5.00 and I've been fine....and you know how many photos I post. :)
Take care,
Suz

I'm with Taradharma--and how does one tell how much space one has used up?

Mountain Musings, I'm with Lise -- so many folks are reporting that they have used up their storage quota. Maybe I will be tagged for more storage space soon -- even though I have upgraded twice so far. Did they raise the prices? It was so reasonable when I upgraded. -- barbara

Hi Ellie and Lucy...we know what you mean. Mom had to buy more space last year for $5.00. She didn't think that was too bad but then she is devoted to my blog and knew she would never hear the end of it if she didn't buy the space. Hugs
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I used up my free space a long time ago, and I thought that I might move to another service... but then I discovered that more space would cost only $5 so I did it! I hope that you do too because I'd miss your posts very much if you went dark!

I'm amazed at this. I've been blogging since 2006 and have never heard of a space limit.

I've been with Type Pad since the beginning of my blogging career and have a premium account which is a set fee. I don't use many of the bells and whistles but benefit from this powerful blog service. Storage is seemingly unlimited and includes full size photos. I don't even need to right size them. It's easy to set the size you want to appear on your blog, and then your visitors can click for enlargements.
I do quarrel with Type Pad sometimes, but I think they do a pretty good job.

Do you mean that your photos have used up your upload limit? I know you can use flickr pics on your blogger posts. I will miss your posts. Nice to know there are other Dems in the Carolinas.

Greetings, I have had that same issue and read that some are able to minimize their old photos for more space. Lately, I've been using Picaso but know you can also get free pics from Shutterfly. I hate it that blogger keeps changing(it is hard for those of us over 40). Hope you figure out a solution.
Hugs, Noreen

I don't know if you are getting any blog comments on your email but just wanted to wish you a Happy & Healthy New Year. You and the "critters" are missed.
