The Lady on the Hill
Here's a sample of what we saw:
NOTE: I had to change the way the slide show was presented because it ran for a while then stopped accessing. So I switched to the "video" function which is keeping it on the post but makes for much less crisp images. So don't make it full screen or it will be even worse Sorry.
An unexpected bonus for us? It was Passholder Appreciation Day with extra discounts in all of the shops. If you ever travel in the Asheville, NC area, you really should spend a couple of days at the Biltmore Estate. Grandeur on a grand scale.

It's all so beautiful!
I could go to Asheville/Biltmore 2 or 3 times a year and never tire of either.

I love tulips, they are always a reminder that Spring is really here!
Sweet little snowdrops peeping through the snow show that Winter is finally leaving, but bright tulips really beat the "Winter Blues"!

The video didn't work for me. Perhaps if you went back and re-added it, using the video button. When I've used the one you used, they never stay working for me, either.
The Biltmore Estate is definitely on our list of places to visit, and it's definitely more than one can see in a single visit. The flowers themselves are simlply amazing and that's without even going indoors.
OH MY HEAVENS... how lovely!
Thank you for re-doing it!
Fabulous! Some of my family will be back there in May for my nephew's graduation in Asheville. I think they are planning to go to Biltmore. I am so jealous.
It's really a beautiful place! We were in Asheville last fall, and we were going to go but didn't go because we met up with a childhood friend who lives there at the last minute--Next time, next time!!
Enjoy your Thursday!!
I love that place!
Am going up to Asheville with the Garden Blogger Spring Fling in May, hope there are still blooms! We are having such a warm spring, they might be done.
WE went on our honeymoon almost 30 years ago. Tom had been there before . I was blown away!!! It was so beautiful!!! We talked about our visit there for months!!!
The gardens are so extravagant; beautiful.
Your slideshow was great...thanks so much for sharing. I won't ever see that many tulips in person unless I get up there myself or visit Denmark. :)
I love tulips but we can't grow them here. What a treat to see so many bright and gorgeous ones lined up in the sun!
