LIFE'S BETTER IN THE MOUNTAINS

Rainy Days and Mondays

It's raining here in the mountains.  Welcome rain.  It has been very dry and there have been several fires in the county from brush burnings gone astray.  So we are happy for the rain.

The Tufted Titmouse lowers his tuft in the rain

Lucy checks out the front porch.  There is no danger that she will run into the yard.
She hates getting wet.

The bluebird flag drips in the rain

Here's the front bringing all the rain.  It's moving to the northeast, so we have more storms to come.

We have plenty to do on this rainy day, but little desire to do any of it.  Think I'll sit and read for a while and then do a little knitting.

It has been raining all day here, rain I could do without, as the ground is still sodden.

Sweet bird........wonder how they feel about the extremes in our weather.

Hope you get the rain you so need.......

Pouring here today - but unlike you we are NOT in drought conditions. I'm glad you're getting some rain!

Soggy here, too. We had already turned off the gas logs 'til fall. We turned them back on yesterday.

I went on a tear to clean out my pantry and the cabinets in the laundry room. I was going strong until I found some mouse droppings. The good news is, I think I've found how they were getting in and John put steel wool in the hole. Nevertheless, I got the heck out of there for the rest of the day.

Spring is all about rain. Makes everything sprout up and blossom, turn green and grow! It's the best thing after a long winter. Glad you are enjoying it.

Hi, I so understand the need for the rain in areas where there have been droughts; however I am ready for some nice weather. We usually get most of our rain during the summer and it passes quickly. This year our winter has been long with lots of snow.
Hope you have a great evening.

The rain ended here this afternoon. At least the snow is finally disappearing and I can begin thinking about pick up clean up chores....

I'm glad you're getting the moisture. Our moisture is still in the form of snow. Are your hummers there yet??

Sounds like the rain is needed for those fires. A good day to sit and do nothing…..enjoy.

Thanks for your comments, everyone.

Cheryl - The UK has certainly had more rain than I can recall.

Mary Lee - Mouse in the house is not a good thing. Glad you found the entry.

KB - No, the hummers are all around us but none here yet. Feeders are up and we are watching.
