Yesterday the bird and I (along with my camera) met together on the deck and I got a few shots.

His markings are definitely those of a Pine Warbler. Perhaps he is just more yellow than most? Or does anyone think it's a different bird? Here's one bird I can always identify...our little Downy Woodpecker. She was feasting yesterday along with the yellow bird. Our squirrel baffle is working fine. I'm tempted to take it off so the crazy squirrel can finish gnawing the suet feeder! Wild Birds will replace it if it no longer holds suet. They have never had this problem with this particular feeder. Leave it to us to have the first one to be attacked by squirrels.

You may note how brightly the sun was shining yesterday. This morning dawned misty and gray. When my husband took the dogs for their morning walk, they walked in mist, then rain, then sleet, then snow. Just as they were approaching the house, lightning streaked across the sky to begin a thunderstorm. As we enter our third year of drought, we welcome anything that falls from the sky.
