LIFE'S BETTER IN THE MOUNTAINS

Fridays are Golden

Oh, look! A present for us. Big human sis brought us a present!

So what if there are two bags. This is the one I want! Now let go.

Not at all certain what the toy is, Ellie decides the best course of action is to grab it and go to a bed to investigate it.

Lucy does the same and almost gets it right.

I'm trying to be gracious about this, but I just don't get it. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it and you are making me nervous by putting that round thing in my mouth.

I showed them the package with a picture of the cute 'stach. I've seen dozens of pictures of dogs posing with them and they look so funny. However, nothing would entice either dog to grab the ball end and give me a photo op.
Sorry the girls absolutely would not pose with the toys. Our daughter had hoped we would get a nice shot of the two of them side by side but that was not to be. They did, however, like the gift bags.

We are especially happy this weekend. Our son and daughter-in-law are visiting from Indianapolis. How lucky we are.

Have a safe and wonderful weekend. Give more than a passing thought to the reason for Memorial Day and think on those whose sacrifices helped make us safe from harm.

LOL! They're just like little kids who would rather play with the wrapping, bows and boxes than the gifts inside.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

Funny Carolyn.... They are just like children. Children prefer the wrapping paper and bows to the toys and presents....

Great Fridays are Golden post... Enjoy your family!!!

Betsy

Just like little kids - sometimes the bags and boxes are the most enticing! Perhaps they felt the toy was beneath their dignity... Have fun with your Family!

It was nice of your daughter to get the girls a toy, even if they didn't cooperate as you might have hoped. Have a fun weekend. It's great to have family visiting.

I don't think I could get my boys to cooperate either! They would think I was up to something trying to get them to take it!

Those are so funny! Maybe once they get over the "newness" of it, they will start to venture putting the ball into their mouths. That would be one funny photo! Have a great weekend with your family Carolyn.

Too funny. What they don't come up with. I'm with the girls on this one though. I can tell you right now, Mingus wouldn't cooperate either.

Enjoy your family!

I'm glad you identified the black thing as a toy. I wouldn't have guessed that.

Hello to the Indianapolis twosome! Hope you have good weather for them.

This is a familiar scenario. Camera in hand with dog refusing to pose. Oh well....

Too bad... no mustachioed photos! Maybe the girls will learn to use those new toys!

Enjoy your weekend!

It's wonderful when the children come. I know you are having a wonderful family weekend. And I don't blame the girls one bit.

Hi Carolyn!! Thanks for a chuckle to start my day!! I had the same crazy idea at Easter with our crew--I bought them all easter bunny ears and thought it would be just as cute to have a picture of them posing with the ears--Easier said than done, I could only get our Wheaten Terrier to pose, the Goldens (even Hamlet) just weren't feeling it! Maybe next year; but I doubt it!! :-)) I hope you've had an enjoyable weekend!

Ha! Can't wait to see what happens with this one. Don't forget to upload pics of the mustachioed pups.

Who thinks these toys up?? Too funny! I did have to imagine what that toy would look like in Milo's mouth - he's our grandkids' chihuahua!! LOL!
