These shots were taken in my neighborhood in the late evening just before the rains came down. What a welcome drink for the thirsty trees.
You can be assured that nobody in our area complained about the rain. Well, someone probably did. There's just no pleasing everyone.

Don't you just love it when it rains after such a long time.....the photographs are lovely, moody pics are just great.......

I'm glad that you finally got some rain - we had a few showers last week, and tomorrow we might even get *snow*! Yikes! (And if we do, I might complain about it, but I hope you won't hold that against me!)

I don't like the rain when it is pouring, but I do like what the rain leaves behind in growth, color and life! If I can get out when it is drizzly I'm fine but that pouring rain..just makes me huddle up and...blog! I love that you showed a series of photos...and glad that you got some (sounds like) much needed rain.
I like how there were little specks of sunlight in your storm clouds. I personally do not mind a little rain!

Relief. Don't ya just love rain clouds? I guess it's because we rarely see them.
I'm glad you finally had measurable rain. We received a trace last weekend, too. Gloomy and damp. No complaints!
Beautiful sky pictures, Carolyn. We finally got some rain in Tennessee last Friday (when we were gone)... We are thankful for anything--even an inch!!!!! We drove home today from Buffalo and had some snow flurries near Cleveland. It's cold here tonight--but no snow (or rain).
We had a nice soaker on Friday and it was cold and damp, but like you said, much needed and appreciated. Have a beautiful day Carolyn. :c)
So glad you had some rain! There go those beautiful leaves you've posted. But there will be new green ones in the spring - well, there will be since you got rain!
We have had regular rain this fall, but not too much. Some years the farmers have difficulty getting their corn in if it is too muddy in the fields. Hope you get the right amount of winter precipitation.
Thanks, everyone. We are still far below our average rainfall and the drought (in its second year) will surely affect the trees.
