LIFE'S BETTER IN THE MOUNTAINS

Thursday is Golden

The weather pattern (hereafter known as the Great March Snowstorm) left us with more snow than we had seen since we moved away from Wisconsin. My husband took the Golden Girls out to play in the snow and snapped a few photographs of them.

This is the edge of the woods. The branches are heavy with the snow, bending down almost to the ground.

Ellie takes a break from running and sniffing in the snow.

Lucy looks behind her to see where Ellie is.

Lucy did not seem to care much for the snow. She shoveled it with her nose, but did not run around as much as Ellie.

Here they are playing chase. Lucy is the reluctant member and Ellie is having a wonderful time.

I think Ellie is telling Lucy some little secret.

Lucy sits in the snow, her eyes begging to go back inside.

Lucy spent a lot of time trying to get the snow off her paw pads.

Lucy is a dog who detests having anything on her paw pads or tail feathering. Perhaps that is why she didn't care for the snow. Ellie enjoyed every minute, running and playing like a puppy.
----------The reason for the Thursday doggie post is that my laptop STILL is not working properly. After installation of a new hard drive, the computer takes as long as 30 minutes to boot up. So, back to the service department for repairs. I do hope they won't have to keep it long.
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND, FILLED WITH FUN AND JOY! AND LET'S BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.

All my dogs have always loved the snow, but the new puppy sure didn't like it at first! Have a great weekend, and thanks for the golden fix! I hope that your computer is back in top condition soon!

Grrrr--on computers that won't behave.

YAY--on dogs in snow, even reluctant ones. Our dog is more like Ellie. Although, she shares with Lucy the paw pad thing. She will pull up "lame", hold up a paw and refuse to walk if there is a snow ball gathering in her pad.

The Great March storm--that has a ring to it!

Thanks for the Friday highlight on Thursday--love it.

Poor Lucy, way to go Ellie! I'm almost getting snow envy. Ours is melted here in Cleveland. Your photos are beautiful ... love the snow-covered trees. Hope your computer will be back at full strength soon.

Oh my gosh! Such wonderful pictures! Your pups look like they are having so much fun.

It's overcast and yucky here. Wish we could play in the snow!

Our Lilly loves the snow, except when it melts and refreezes, making it difficult to walk on.

Goldens running in the snow are gorgeous!

Wonderful post.....they are such adorable dogs....

Nella is the same as Lucy. She hates to have dirt, snow or anything else on her paw pads. She spends a long time every evening cleaning and checking them....

Hope you get your computer back soon and it works properly!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend.....

So sorry about your laptop, but thanks for sharing these lovely photos. Winter's come back to Alabama, too, but just rain without the snow.

Nice shots. I guess animals are much like people. Some of us like the snow and some of us don't. Hope you get your computer problems resolved soon.

Hi, I am blog hoppin today and came here from Shellys log cabin. Love to find people in my age bracket every now and then. What we have in common. I have a neighbor dog that looks just like yours. She ran in the house and my cat chased her out just the other day (o: I babysit for a little girl named Ellie. Loved those pics of cardinals. I was interrupted for about an hour, so now I can't remember what else we have in common (o:

Wow, you guys had a lot more snow than we did. My last GSD loved the snow, but Gundo could take it or leave it,

Your girls are so beautiful - their fur glows! My dogs love the snow - but we haven't gotten much this year. I'm jealous looking at your photos of the white fluffy stuff.

Such a wonderful contrast of golden tones running and jumping in that white background...it is lovely but have to say glad it is you and not me! I'm like Lucy.. I've had enough of that white stuff on my paws!!

Hope your computer problems soon disappear and that your March days return to beautiful spring-like days..with more sun and warm!!

My Big Old Boy now just loves the Snow, he would bury his snout in and tunnel right on through & loves to catch those Snowballs!!!...

It looks as if your Golden Girls (well, at least one of them) enjoyed the March snow storm. I just hope this is the last snow you (and we) have. I'm ready for spring!
