Ringing Clear and True

Hark! The sound of Tar Heel voices
Ringing clear and true.
Singing Carolina's praises...

Hail to the brightest star of all
Clear its radiance shine.
Carolina, priceless gem
Receive all praises thine.

I'm a Tar Heel born, I'm a Tar Heel bred and when I die I'll be a Tar Heel dead.
So it's Rah! Rah! Carolina-lina, Rah! Rah! Carolina-lina, Rah! Rah! Carolina...

RAH! RAH! RAH!
GO TAR HEELS!

I knew by a few minutes into the game that it was going to be a NC win. Now tonight I'll watch the women, UConn will probably win?

Congrats, Carolyn (and Dave)... I know you were thrilled to see them win. I knew they would... They have had a terrific year. I didn't think anyone would beat them this year.

I think I heard you whooping and hollering all the way to TN...
Hugs,
Betsy

Rub it in, why don't you! ;o)

Begrudging congrats to the Heels - perhaps we can give them a better run for their money next year!

I think they should see if they could compete against the NBA champions whoever that might be. I know they could beat the Timberwolves.

Rubbing salt in a raw wound - that's what you're doing :)

But congrats! I wished for a better game but the Heels dominated. I suspect that UConn will do the same in the women's game tonight.

Gee--now I am impressed with Virginia Tech's close game with NC in the ACC final. I am glad North Carolina won--they looked like champions. Bet you are so proud of them.

Cheryl - "March Madness" in the US is the college basketball tournament. Sixty four of the best teams are allowed. The University of North Carolina (where my husband attended for 8 years) men's basketball team won the championship this year. Even our President selected them as his choice to win! There is a tournament for women as well and it is gaining greater attention as are all women's sports. Yeah!

Bird girl - Nope. Not exactly the pom-pom cheerleader type. We do fly a banner on game days and scream at the television.
