LIFE'S BETTER IN THE MOUNTAINS

Fridays Are Golden

September is flying by!  Sunday brings the Autumnal Equinox; and autumn officially begins.  The weather around here does feel like autumn and we are loving it.  The Golden Girls love the cooler weather, but they also love the sun as much as I do.  Like cats, they move around during the day to grab the best rays.

Ellie snoozes in the sun

Lucy loves cuddling in the sun next to Ellie.

They even love to lie in the sun taking a break from running.
Look at those smiles!

We all need to slow down a bit and enjoy the autumn.  As Ralph Waldo Emerson said:

"Adopt the pace of nature:  her secret is patience."

HAVE A MOST WONDERFUL WEEKEND, EVERYONE.  ADOPT THE PACE OF NATURE.

Yes, indeed! Love that pic of happy dogs enjoying a sunny day outside. The local cider presses are starting up...it is apple season in the land of Johnny Appleseed. I love it!

We're noticing the first hints of autumn here too. When the winds blow, pine needles and leaves take to the air. Cool nights and warm days. It's perfect!

I KNOW those girls must be thoroughly enjoying the cooler weather and so will I... when it gets here.

A good time of year to ask in the sn a bit.

Your crib blanket is beautiful -- well done!

And how well I remember 'What It Was Was Football -- classic!

It seems a lot of creatures need a little sun -- maybe not moles and earthworms and the such like -- but a lot! Mingus will find a sunny spot for a short time but then migrates to the shade - on hot days anyway.

Good strategy. Follow the sun...;)

I always look forward to seeing the girls -- they instruct on how best to live life.

That quote is magnificent -- if only it became a national anthem!

Enjoy your weekend - we may be getting rain finally.

Hum, I am still wondering where August went.
Today has been perfect. I'll take more of these.
Love the girls enjoying the outdoors.
