America Celebrates
Such a special day for all Americans. As you enjoy the parades, the picnics, and the fireworks, keep in mind what we are really celebrating. Today brings us all together for a change.
We fly flags all year round. We have seasonal flags, sports team flags, and of course we have Old Glory. This flag has special meaning for us here in our retirement home. It flew over the Capitol on the very day my husband retired. For a small fee you can request such a flag from your Senator or Congressman.

What a nice memento your flag is. Your fireworks photos are much nicer than mine are in my own blog this morning. I used my droid, had to load them up to PICSA then down to my mac, then edit and upload back to blogspot. (whew) Thanks for the thoughts this morning.

Wonderful post. On July 1st(Canada Day) Wayne and I decorated for both Canada and the USA. Although I'm no longer able to, I remember and honor both countries.My sister bought a nice flag for Wayne's room - he enjoys it.
