Taking the plunge

Like many others, I have given thought to a blog for quite a while. With much encouragement, I have decided to take the plunge.

I live in Transylvania County (yes, bite me), known as the "Land of the Waterfalls." It seems fitting that my practice post should be a waterfall in my own community. This is Upper Batson Creek Falls.
In future postings, I hope to share with you my enthusiasm and sheer love for the magnificient mountains of western North Carolina, along with the exciting creatures who share this wonderful place.

And am so glad you took the plunge. I'm a sucker for waterfalls so I'm counting on you to show more.

Welcome to this great community (which you are already with...). Now you can share the beauty of our wonderful state, in the mountains that we rarely see.

Mary :o)

P.S. - don't forget the dogs.

Welcome. I came over from KGMom's. North Carolina is wonderful. We spent several summers in the Maggie Valley area.

kgmom - thanks for being my first visitor
Susan and Mary - thanks (I think) for pushing me off the high dive
bek - thanks
Beverly - Maggie Valley is another lovely area of NC
Becki - Yes, blogging is addictive. I've started to look at almost everything as a potential post.
Kerri - I do hope it will become more fun. Right now it is frightening. There are so many wonderful blogs I feel a little out of place.

Laura: Quite a while ago you mentioned something about a blog in my future. I laughed out loud.
