Going Dark to Recover

I have developed a case of shingles.  I started on anti-virals as soon as the rash appeared so I am hoping the recovery will be a bit faster.  I won't be posting for a while until I recover.  Meanwhile I will read your posts and will be back with mine whenever I can manage.

Yes, it's every bit as bad as everyone says.

Oooooooooh noooooooooo... I'm so sorry! Numerous people in the FQ groups ended up with Shingles. They figure the FQ stirred up the latent virus. Hope you heal quickly. If you would like some homeopathic suggestions, email me.

Oh for Petes sake Carolyn. My Uncle had that so I know a bit. I hope your summer isn't ruined. Last summer Mrs. T. had a 2 month long bout with pinkeye and the doctors at Mayo etc. were kind but somewhat dismissive. She said it was worse that her two separate bouts with cancer...

I've had them...no fun at all. I am glad you started the meds early. Soothing comfort and healing energies are being sent through the ether in hopes you feel better soon. Pain in any guise is tough to live with. Dig deep into your own resources to get through this. I'll miss you while you're healing.

I'm so sorry. I've known several people with shingles and understand it's awful. All good wishes for a speedy recovery. Appalachian folklore says that the blood of a pure black hen smeared on your body will do the trick. Somehow I doubt it. I got the vaccine last year and hope that it will keep me safe.

I too wish you a speedy recovery. We are having the same problem with Duke Energy here in IN. They are wanting to cut a large number of the trees in our yard. My husband is fighting it but I am not hopeful.

Ack. I, too, am an occasional sufferer. Not in many years, thank Goddess. I hope you feel better soon and that the disease resolves with rest and meds. And stay away from the roof for goodness sake.

It is indeed. My mother had a bout of shingles a couple of years ago........the pain was often too much for her.

I hope your recovery is swift.
I am sure that man of yours will take good care of you :)

No rush back, we will be waiting patiently for your return.
