We Love Lucy

Lucy is about the only one here who loves the snow.  She has had so much fun doing zoomies in the soft fluffy snow.  She doesn't care so much about the snow on the driveway.  It isn't as deep and has a crust on it so it's not so fluffy.

She stops and stares at something in the yard.

I walk around to the other side and she is still staring.

She is staring at the yard.  Something is different

A closer look reveals the bear covered in snow.

We are hoping the roads will be passable soon as our temperatures rise.  Our son has a birthday on Monday.  Unfortunately his gifts have not left our house yet so there is no chance they will arrive in time for the special day.  We've had no mail and no newspaper and that hasn't bothered us one bit.

Today's quote is from Samuel Taylor Coleridge:

Advice is like snow...the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon and the deeper it sinks into the mind.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, EVERYONE!!!
ENJOY THE WEEKEND AND HAVE FUN!

I love fluffy Lucy playing in the fluffy snow. And that bear! Great pics. Hope your roads clear up, but otherwise, enjoy the stillness of being snowed in, as you obviously have been doing :-)

I think Mr. Linthead & I need a bear for our yard (or maybe it should be a sheep).

Good advice about advice - I'll try to remember it the next time I feel like pounding it into someone's head :)

I'm glad you are staying home! Better to be safe than sorry. Our snow is melting and slushy; which is better than ice. Have a great Valentine's Day and wonderful weekend.

Lucy is glowing, shiny and beautiful. I'm glad that she enjoys the snow. I bet it will melt before you know it!

The quote is right on, absolutely right on.

We should all enjoy the snow like animals do. It really brings out the youth in them and sometimes even in old gals like me.
Well the bear does look different. Good to see you aren't railing against the weather but enjoying it.

Wow - the bear looks really different with a little snow on it.

No wonder Lucy is confused. That's a scarey looking sight !
Thanks for the Valentine wishes. My birthday (81 yrs) is today so my family has always said I was a "misplaced Valentine".

That second picture of Miss Lucy is lovely. Maybe she was watching to see exactly what a bear does in the woods.

When I was growing up we had a cocker spaniel who was always mellow and easy-going until it snowed. She loved the snow, would roll around in it and just have a grand old time. I like thinking of Lucy having as good a time as our dog way back when.

Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day and that the snow is melting… melting… melting.

Lucy does look lovely in the snow and nice that she is enjoying it before it melts away. Also glad you are all safe. The quote was very appropriate.

As you can imagine, there are several canines here that have absolutely loved our week of snow. Interestingly, we woke up to another dusting this morning - which means we have had at least some snow fall for 7 days in a row.

Wonderful watching dogs play in the snow!

I know you don't love the snow, so it's good you have Lucy around to keep levity in the scene. I'm glad to have brought you a little river happiness during these times!

It always amuses me when our dog gets fixated on something that appears different to her--because of snow or whatever. I explain--it's only ...
But she is not comforted.
I love Lucy, too, and love that she loves snow.

Lucy is just lovely posing in the snow. So funny….she is a keen one seeing the difference in the bear.
