Our deck is very high. When the Mountain Laurel is blooming, the lovely flowers can be seen in every direction. Here are a few shots from the deck today. (Click to enlarge any picture for more detail.)
What a view. You're right - a treehouse! I dream of a view like that, Carolyn. A paradise for birds and wildlife. I wonder if you have a creek or stream down below.
Mary - Yes, we do have a creek. I'll post a picture of the backyard soon. Toni - The Mountain Laurel will peak at our elevation in another two weeks, but some of the ones in the shade will take longer. Jayne - We do spend a lot of time on the deck. Our birdfeeders are attached to the deck and most of the birds will come to feed even if we are out there. Shellmo - It is almost as peaceful as watching the ocean.

I'll take your tree house!! Just lovely. When will the Mountain Laurel reach it's blooming peak? Ours is always around the end of June.
Wow, surrounded by so much beauty right off the deck!
What beautiful, peaceful views you have.
