Very useful since the barn is a steep quarter mile from the house.Vicki Lanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08114677510459055768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3906718086309436335.post-4550632713794546542015-12-16T19:40:04.568-05:002015-12-16T19:40:04.568-05:00Now that photo caused some real deep thinking on m...Now that photo caused some real deep thinking on my part....:)troutbirderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14087811292280881959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3906718086309436335.post-30623240770346534822015-12-15T12:00:35.337-05:002015-12-15T12:00:35.337-05:00How cute is that! It is fully functional and unlocked. There is no cabin, nor the remains of an old cabin. It was a mystery to me for years as to why this outhouse was there.

Then, on a Saturday morning this fall, I met an elderly couple (81 yrs old, each of them) walking down that trail carrying a paint can and brushes. They own the mining claim where the outhouse is. When their kids were young, they camped there very frequently, and they decided to build an outhouse to use during camping. They say that they paint it yearly.

I talked with them for close to an hour, showing them the bear-marking trees on their mining claim, and asking them about the "old days" here. We are now in touch via email. It was really special to meet them.

Thanks for sharing your "fun" outhouse!!!!!!KBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16885661679762446456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3906718086309436335.post-81628300020513424342015-12-14T18:22:04.354-05:002015-12-14T18:22:04.354-05:00I love this ... and it made me smile, thank you.
