And sitting right in a hanging basket on the deck? I feel a bit guilty that I didn't go searching to find this lovely little bird.

I was sitting in a corner of the deck reading. Fortunately I had the camera with me and just happened to look up at just the right time. Twenty seconds sooner or later, and I would have missed him.

Perhaps I should buy a lottery ticket.NCmountainwomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00615765649828716560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3906718086309436335.post-61741770460400605482008-10-22T08:10:00.000-04:002008-10-22T08:10:00.000-04:00Carolyn: It certainly is a beautiful bird.Carolyn: It certainly is a beautiful bird. This Is My Blog - fishing guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03826128050970967135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3906718086309436335.post-81216333534985296212008-10-22T06:50:00.000-04:002008-10-22T06:50:00.000-04:00How exciting Carolyn! Several of my books show that the Appalachian species frequent your area for the spring/summer and then migrate to the Carribbean. Wow! what a thrill to find a bird you might not have seen in your backyard before! :)Tinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17717015543939819841noreply@blogger.com
