The headless dog.
No, Mom. I'm not at all interested in moving.
Our dogs are generally happy and like many other dogs, they smile a lot. I believe Golden Retrievers have the best smiles but I admit to having a little prejudice. No matter how often I see them smile, it always warms my heart.
Is that a big enough smile, Mom?
So the thought for the week is for all of us to try to smile more often. It has been said that we all smile in the same language. I firmly believe that if we all smile more we could get along with each other much better.
Mother Teresa once said, "Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing." So this week, no matter how you feel, try smiling more...at your friends and family and at strangers you encounter.
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND, EVERYONE
I adore your dog stories and they always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteMy Leo smiles a lot, too.
Mingus gets a toothy grin but only when I rub his tummy! But he's a happy little guy all the same.
ReplyDeleteMy D always smiled and people always commented on what a lovely smile he had.
:)!!!! Love your stories! Have a great week-end!
ReplyDeleteI love your dogs' smiles, too. You have good reason to be biased towards them. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about the smile of a Golden--It never does get old and never does stop making me feel good too!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're doing well and I hope you have a great weekend!!
It's almost impossible to not smile when a golden smiles at you!
ReplyDeleteSam

ReplyDeleteYour dogs so amaze me! I love hearing about them!
ReplyDeleteAnd too, love what you said about smiling...Doesn't take a whole lot to do that...and to think you could be brightening someone's life even for just a brief moment....

My aussie/border collie mix that I call sadie has that wonderful smile that just makes your cares melt away when she is around.
ReplyDeleteA smile is always a mood lifter for the giver as well as the reciever.
Have a blessed weekend

I love dog smiles! That's a beautiful one.
ReplyDeleteJust the other day, I was merging into another lane of traffic and made eye contact with a driver in the other lane. She smiled and waved me into the lane. That smile lifted my spirits immensely.
I agree - let's all smile more!
LOL at Lucy's sleeping positions! And I agree, i think retrievers do have the biggest smile. Scout's favorite sleeping position lately has been on her back on the cold hard floor.
ReplyDeleteI sit in a recliner with a laptop in my lap (sort of like right this moment). But that means I have to lower the footrest very slowly because there is always at least one dog under there enjoying the cave I have created.
ReplyDeleteHi there, Love your posts on Fridays-you make my weekends when I read about your golden girls.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week my friend.
Hugs, Noreen
I love that quote and I agree. I smile all the time at people...and reading your blog ALWAYS makes me smile too.
